Adobe Photoshop Basics (part 1)

In my previous Adobe tutorials, you are aware that the video tutorials I shared is for advanced adobe users. Now that I got a lot of requests from friends to teach to them the adobe basics, I'm just going to share it here in my blog.

If you are a beginner, the first thing you should do is create a new canvas and use every tool you see in adobe platform. In that way, you can explore the tools with no worries on what the outcome would be.

For those who are too busy for that, and wanted to learn by just reading and watching tutorials, I'll share some basic tools of adobe. Well I say aside from those that are very basic (i.e. the menu bars, how to open the images, to create a new canvas, etc.) That's because it's too easy that even elementary students will discover it.. lol ^^

     1.   Color Correction
We all know that photoshops are primary tools for correcting the color of the image.
  • Got to Image > Adjustments

This menus are mainly for color correction and to stylize the image. As I always say, EXPRIMENT! ^^

     2.  Layers

This is one of the critical elements of adobe. If you add a new layer, it allows you to modify this layer without affecting another layer. Move it without moving the others. Erase it without erasing the others.

In the illustration, you can see that the butterfly is hidden behind the back of the border. In order to put it in front, all you have to do is drag the butterfly layer up and above the border layer.

That's up for the Basics now. I'll add some tutorials if i have time. If you have questions, suggestions, or request, just comment below. Thanks! Konbanwa! ^^
