Traditional Drawing

Drawing has been my hobby for almost five years I think. I discovered this little talent when I was in 2nd year high school. Since then, i know that I had this immense appreciation for such a thing. Nah, everytime I see a work of art, I just stop, stare at it, look into details, and Wow! I wanna try this out!

The first drawings I tried is the anime style. It's when I started to trace drawings of naruto (my favorite anime) by putting oil into my bond paper so that I can see the drawing under it. This is so typical to those who are starting to learn how to draw by the way. hehehe.. Then I tried out copying animes without tracing, then drawing without copying, and finally, drawing with my own style (it so sucks honestly XD).

Then I tried out portrait drawing. I also started it with basics, drew light gridlines on my bond paper as well as on the picture I am trying to copy. Make sure the gridlines
on the paper is in the same proportion with the ones in the picture.  I call this technique "Grid-line sketching". With this technique, you can copy a portrait effortlessly. However, you just have to work hard on the shading to give justice to the image.. heheh.

Gu Jun Pyo

The first person I drew using this technique is Gu Jun Pyo (Lee Min Ho in real life). He is a korean actor featured in a drama titled "Boys Over Flowers". After a successful try, I drew numerous portraits using this, Lordy Tugade, my mom, three cyber friends, and a lot more.

Bruno Mars

After this, I took courage to draw without gridlines, and so, I drew Bruno Mars.. ehehe..

I also tried to sketch myself on a mirror and never did it again.. XD

This are all basic stepping stones to better artistry. We all have to go through all these if we want to excel in our artistic inclination. I am not saying that I excel in this skill, I'm just a little bit good at it and I'm still on the process. hehe..

Check out some of my drawings.. ^^
